Judit Varga is a graphic designer. She graduated from the Academy of Applied Arts as the student of Sándor Ernyei in the late 1970s.
Between 1976 and 1986 she worked as a freelance graphic designer in Hungary; in 1987 she moved to the USA.
On some of her colorful posters, the influence of Pop Art appears. In the 1980s and 1990s she made illustrations for children’s books and magazines. She also designed posters for children’s books and movies. These works are often painted, realistic compositions with a naive charm. In 1984 she became the art director of an advertising company, which was working for huge international companies like Walt Disney or Burger King. Since 2000, she is making digital works and paintings as well. .
