Decorative sport poster from the 1950s.  Most of Denes Vincze's graphic works are related to sport. He created great sport posters in the 1950s and 1960s, many of his works advertised different championships. He created beautiful posters for domestic and international tournaments of basketball, judo, figure skating, soccer and so on.

On this poster he perfectly captured the dynamics of a basketball game. The defendant wants intents to prevent the other player to score, but he clearly missed it. Vincze's decorative composition lacks the characteristics of the Socialist Realist manner, what makes it unique, as the poster was created at a time, when artists were forced to create according to the rules set by the Socialist Realist style.
