Klaudinyi László

1904 - 1984

Klaudinyi was a graphic designer, whose career started in the mid 1920s.

He studied in Budapest at the University of Applied arts between 1921-26, then he went to improve his knowledge in Vienna.

In 1930, he begun working for the famous Corvin Áruház (Corvin Department Store). In the 1930s he created some excellent Art Deco poster designs, including two posters for the famous Modiano company.

In 1940, he was invited to lead the graphic design department at an industrial company in Fülek. After the war, he was living in Miskolc, where he worked as a designer at the Iron and Steel company of Diósgyőr.

In 1956 he moved to Vienna, and later, to the USA. In the United States he was working as an illustrator for promnent newspapers. He returned to Hungary in 1977.                                                                                                                                                 .
