Farkas Endre

1897 -

Farkas was a modernist poster designer, active in the 1920’s and 1930’s. His works have a very clear, modernist or constructivist style that was introduced in Hungarian poster art by Bortnyik, Kassák and Berény.

Farkas used big, flat shapes, intensive colors (orange and yellow are typical) and modern typography. He mostly designed commercial posters, for example for Modiano.                                                                                                                                                       .
