Bér was a painter, caricaturist, illustrator and poster designer mainly active during the 1900’s and 1910’s.
He was working for several illustrated political magazines and newspapers. He also designed the posters of periodicals. Bér’s posters show his humorous and ironic attitude and his Art Nouveau style. His works are based on detailed drawing. Bér made several designs for poster campaigns during the First World War.
He was also a great charicaturist. Charicatures appear on many of is posters, such as on the poster of his own exhibition, which show charicaturistic figures of the WW1 enemies in a humorous manner. .
