Zsótér László

1945 -

Graphic designer. In the late 1960s and early 1970s he studied at the Faculty of Textile, from which he soon switched to the Typographic Faculty at the Academy of Applied Arts. After graduation he worked in various fields of applied graphics; he designed posters, flyers, packaging and worked on exhibition designs.

His posters are often photo-based compositions. The photos he used are cleverly processed and combined with other details such as the dominant typography. In the 1990s he designed the logos of huge national companies of Hungary like Matáv, MOL and the National Radio. He also created art designs for movies and even a huge mural installation (the Wall of the Victims) for the Holocaust Memorial Center of Budapest. Currently he is a docent at the Moholy-Nagy University (Academy of Applied Arts).                                                                                                                                       .
