1910 - 1967
Poster artist and painter. He studied at the Academy between 1928 and 1933, under Bertalan Karlovszky.
He was a naturalist landscape painter, but he also enjoyed creating figural compositions. His favorite theme was the Danube bend which is often represented on his pictures. At the beginning his landscapes were rather naturalistic, and then he slowly turned to a more expressive manner. He made etchings and engravings as well as posters and illustrations.
His posters from the late 1940s are very realistic, photo-like but idealized representations with a certain neo-classical or Art Deco touch. He made poster designs for the rack railway, for commercial purposes and for campaigns for blood donation. He designed posters from the late 1930s until the 1960s. .
