Description:
Malev Budapest Hungary is a 1967 vintage Hungarian travel poster designed by Andras Mate.
The series of seven posters designed for Malév is certainly one of the most beautiful results of András Máté's graphic career. These seven legendary tourist posters are one of the highlights of Hungarian graphic arts of the sixties. With his mosaic-like, colorful, decorative compositions, Máté experimented a lot in the mid-sixties. Perhaps the rarest and certainly the most beautiful piece of the series is the tourist poster advertising Budapest, the main motif of which is the Erzsebet Bridge, which was the pride of the city at the time.
