The composition was designed by Sándor Lengyel who was well know for his unique, humorous tone. He was the most sought after artist of the 1960s. He typically depicted cartoon-like happy figures on his posters, creating a joyful atmosphere. His drawing style was simple and elegant. This tram poster is a good example of his work. The happy figure, the vivd colours....The man is painting the black wall to yellow and he is covered in paint but it seems that it doesn't bother him, he is doing his job effortlessly. The text on the poster has a simple typography and it only mentions the most important information: subject, address and phone number.
