T. Gerő Zsuzsa

1929 -

Zsuzsa T. Gerő is a graphic designer. She attended the private art school of Álmos Jaschik, which was famous for its modern, yet classical approach.

After 1945 she started to work as a graphic designer; she made illustrations and designed posters. In the 1950s she was forced - just like everyone else - to follow the obligatory narrow-minded socialist realist manner. It appears on her tourism poster Magyarország (Hungary).

Her style soon changed, and her posters became more modern, as she started to make two dimensional, real poster-like designs. Among her greatest works are her posters for the Budapest Zoo (depicting a baby tiger) and her design for a commercial poster advertising bedding (Kész ágyneműt..).

During the 1960s and 1970s she worked on exhibitions and fair designs. She was working in the art collective of graphic artists and worked together with members of the Papp-group.                                                                                                                                          .
