Hungarian poster art of the 20th century is exceptional. It is amazing to witness that an outstanding piece of art printed on a transient material has survived decades of social and political turmoil, chaos and wars, the 20th century, during which was the medium's prime.
At the same time, these artifacts are historical relics, and if you examine them from closer, they can make the viewer understand that a vintage poster has a better capability of summoning the atmosphere of the period it was created in, than almost anything. You only get a glimpse, but that is like peeking into a window through time.
