Henrik Bencsath was a Hungarian graphic artist. His first posters are from the 1930s, but most of his output as a poster artist was created between 1940 and 1953. He designed around a 100 posters while living in Hungary. His first works were commercial advertising posters, but later he mostly became known for his movie posters. He served on the Eastern Front during World War II. He probably left Hungary in 1956, and moved to the United States, where he continued to work as an artist for decades, designing stamps, theatre sets, etc.
