He finished his studies in the 1940s. He designed his first posters at the end of the decade. After 1946 he was working in every field of graphic design: he designed posters for movies, propaganda and commercial ones while he was also working on book covers, emblems, exhibition designs.

Initially he was often working on posters of agricultural and commercial themes, for example for beer brands, sport companies, etc. His designs with fruits, which were made for agricultural purposes are the most well known. In the early 1950s his designs were made in the obligatory socialist realist style. Later he turned to a more modern poster style, using clean, flat shapes.                                                                                                                                             .
