Istvánfy János

Istvánfy designed numerous posters during the 1960’s.

He finished his studies at the end of the 1940’s, and after he went on several field-trips to Europe and the Soviet Union. After returning home, he started to work in an artist colony in Budapest, called Bagolyvár (Owl’s Castle) . 

He designed impressive movie posters in the 1960’s, by using colorful paper cut, photomontage, painting and drawing.                                                                                                                                                     .
