Description:

This small poster is advertising a leadearship program only for middle-class catholic girls in Esztergom. The program was organized by the National Association of Chatolic Girls and took place between August 14 and 22, 1943.

The poster and its message says a lot about the Hungarian society in the 1940s. In the late Horthy-era, nationalism (and anti-Semitism) was apparent in the every day life. If they wanted to be "leaders", the girls had to come from a good middle class family and they also had to be Catholic.
