Május 1 Kino (originally called Atrium Cinema) opened in 1937. Following the Second World War it re-opened in 1947 as Május 1 Kino and operated under this name until 1990. Between 1990 and 2008 the name was changed back to Átrium. After a period of closure it re-opened in Autumn 2012 as Atrium Film Theatre.
