Description:
Poster for a Polish movie based on Tadeusz Hołuj's novel of the same name. The Polish writer was in the fascist concentration camp at Oswiecim (Auschwitz) between 1942 and 1945. In his novel 'The End of Our World' (1962) he portrayed his experiences focusing on the camp's resistance movement. The black and white composition depicts an everyday scene from the camps life: the prisoners are carrying a wood beam in front of the barbed-wire fence.
