The adventures of Bogancs the puli herding dog, who joins a circus after getting caught in a trap and being saved by a performer. Bogancs is a smart and lovable sheepdog. He is the dog of the state farm shepherd, Mate Galamb (Zoltan Maklary). One day he wanders off and falls into a trap. He is rescued by a bitter artist, Dodo (Bela Barsy). Dodo and Bogancs become friends, the artist thinks the dog would be a suitable partner in a circus act, but he wanders off again before the performance. He is captured by the dog catchers in the city, but the Grass Master (Ervin Kibedi) takes a liking to him, so he will not be an experimental animal.
