Description:

Poster for the 6th. North-Hungarian Regional Fine Art Exhibition.

The composition was made with a mixed technique. It showcases an eye of which the middle is a palette what is a recurring motif on posters for fine art exhibitions. Another typical element is the frame indicated by the dense lines behind the eye and the red paper cut out detail. The title of the event is written with a simple typography on the white palette above which, the venue of the event is shown: the Community Center of the city of Salgótarján.

The choice of colours of the artist is very bold; it is not usual to combine red and purple but when if it's done properly, the outcome is very impressive. This is what happened on this decorative piece by László Katona.
