Original vintage Hungarian event poster from 1965.

Open University is an occasion when those who are not students of the university get a chance to attend certain lectures. József Attila University (JATE) was established in 1872 at Kolozsvár and was transferred to its current location, the city of Szeged in 1921.

This minimalistic poster lists the subjects one could listen to within the frames of the open university: sociology, literature, technology, matheatics, medical studies, psychology, foreign languages, philosophy, etc. The list is integrated in the composition in a way that they are placed in between the rays of the stylized image of the sun. Sun in this case symbolizes enlightment and in the middle, as the starting point of the enlightment appears the emblem of the university.
