Bertalan Altmann was a Hungarian graphic and poster artist who worked primarily in the mid-20th century. A significant part of his work was advertising graphics and poster design, and his style was characterized by the commercial and industrial aesthetics of the era. He created posters for numerous commercial and industrial orders. In the 1950s, he also participated in the creation of posters for political propaganda and social purposes. During the mid-20th century he drew a series of coloring books about the history of different vehicles (e.g. locomotive and airplane). In the second half of the eighties, he also worked as an exhibition designer.
