Description:

Tram poster for Toto, i.e. football pool. Football pool competitions are frequently known as toto competitions in Continental Europe. They follow the principle of requiring entrants to predict the results of football matches in advance. This was the most common sports betting game in Hungary that has been existing since 1947. Soccer always has been the most popular sport in Hungary. The country has a respectable football history, having won three Olympic titles, finishing runners-up in the 1938 and 1954 FIFA World Cups, and third in the 1964 UEFA European Football Championship. Hungary revolutionized the sport in the 1950s, laying the tactical fundamentals of Total Football and dominating international football with the remarkable Golden Team which included legend Ferenc Puskás, top goalscorer of the 20th century. The poster has a decorative minimalist design. In front of a red background in big black letters say TOTO and in between the two syllables of the word with white letters the question 'have you bought it' appears. The letters are very simple which perfectly matches the typography oriented simple design.
