Description:

Poster for the Oil Industry Museum at Zalaegerszeg what was established in the year of the creation of this poster, 1969. The museum collects and showcases to history of Hungarian carbohydrate industry. At Zalaegerszeg there is a permanent exhibition on 30 000 square metres with all the material related to the technical backround, mining, processing and logistics. The museum also presents statues of the professionals who contributed to the development of the industry.

The poster shows the beautiful pattern what an oil stain makes when it gets in water, although the colours are altered: the blue and black stains on the green background are different from the real colours of oil on water, yet it is still exciting. Another interesting detail of the composition is that the irregular shape of the stains is broken by a geometrical pattern visible at the meeting points of the stripes of the stains.
