One Day of the Winning Country - Movie about the USSR
Post-war insert (cca. 28 x 83 cm)
Fine, fold marks, light wear.
Interesting and decorative poster of a propaganda movie about the USSR.
The movie was released in Hungary in 1948. It introduced the "friendly state", the Soviet Union, as a victorious country. The poster suggests that the movie is about it's industry, agriculture, culture and sport life as well. It shows the country "through the eyes of 100 photographers".
The historical circumstances makes this piece very important: it shows the situation in Hungary, 3 years after the end of the Second World War, while the Russian troops stationed in the country, and the Soviet regime was about to construct. Besides, this poster is a fine piece, designed by an important art deco designer, Iván Méhely.
